Latest Goings On
On Sunday 28th February, Newquay Rowing Club presented Children's Hospice South West with with two cheques for £1000. Money was raised by the Hobblers sponsored row to scillies, annual charity race and bar change collection. £1100 was also presented to MIND which was raised through the tunnel lock-in. The Hobblers will also be sending a donation to Megan's trust.
- Advertising Boards
Any business wishing to put an advertising board on one of our trailers, the cost is £40 per annum (you supply the board). Speak to John Bawden if you are interested.
- Restormel Capitol Grant
Fantastic News! Newquay Rowing Club have succeeded in our bid to Restormel Borough Council for a capitol grant towards our new gig. We were recently informed that the grant for £10,000 has been approved
- Heritage Lottery Award
Well done to John Cuthill and all those involved in the project to refurbish to Newquay, Dove and Treffry. The Project, having first won a regional award, has now won a National Award for the most imaginative project, out of 12 in the Heritage Category. Representatives from the club were presented with a glass trophy and £3,000 in prize money and vouchers at a ceremony at the Tower of London recently.
